Samsung has introduced another basic candy bar handset namely the Samsung Stunt SCH-r100, which is now available through regional carrier MetroPCS. Being compact, sturdy and affordable, the Stunt offers an easy-to-use interface combined with some communication capabilities to help you stay connected on the go.To begin with, the Stunt has a trim bar design, which is very lightweight at 2.5 ounces and pocket-sized at 4.2" tall by 1.7" wide by 0.54" deep. The smallish display measures only 1.7 inches, supporting 65,000 colors and 128x160-pixel resolution. Fortunately, its user-friendly interface featuring an icon carousel makes up for the size. Users can enjoy one-touch shortcuts to the messaging box, speakerphone and calendar, and adjust backlight and font sizes of the screen as well.
Consistent to its class, the Stunt is light on features. Apart from some common PIM tools, it comes equipped with extras like a 2.5mm headset jack, a micro-USB port and a phone book with 500 contacts, but there is no camera or music player onboard. You can go hands-free by using Bluetooth Wireless Techonogly, speakerphone or speaker-independent voice commands. For non-voice options, you can send and receive SMS and MMS messages, or engage in threaded text messaging with friends and family.
In addition, MetroPCS throws in a set of its own services. With a monthly subscription, Metro411 directory assistance and MetroBACKUP let you store and manage your contacts online. Others include mail@metro unlimited email, MyMetro Account Manager and MetroWEB. Using its mobile web capabilities, getting flight updates, restaurant locations and sports news is easy. Moreover, you can download more tones, wallpapers, games and other applications. The phone offers 15MB of integrated memory for storage, but does not come with a memory card slot.
The Samsung Stunt is one of the simplest phones available on the vendor’s lineup. While some people may want more advanced elements, for casual users who need a functional and low-priced phone only to make calls and texts, the Stunt certainly responds to the needs.

Thanks for the information. This model looks good and has satisfying features. There is also a new phone named Samsung Fight. This phone has a trendy look. It is very user friendly. Features are not very satisfying, just average. The qwerty keyboard makes typing very easy. The call quality is very bad. Overall its not a smart phone though having qwerty keyboard and touch screen.
